Photos 133-170

 exposure: 1/200sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 200

Its amazing at what little random things you find in the most populated places. Marione spotted out these balloons drawn on a pole whilst we were walking around the city.

 exposure: 1/20sec f/stop: 7.1 iso: 400

I was at Starbucks across the road from Macdonalds and took a random street shot of a homeless person. In this shot I was trying to capture how people are busy with their lives and not noticing or rather ignoring the homeless person who doesn't have much.

 exposure: 1/50sec f/stop:3.5 iso: 3200

This is just one of many random photos I take in public. During one of my visits to Bondi Junction, I noticed that Westfield changed a lot of their furniture and being the random person I am, I couldn't stop myself from doing a photo like this.

exposure: 1/400sec f/stop: 9 iso: 100

A plane in the clear blue sky. This is my attempt of capturing the saying, "Less is more".

exposure: 1/400sec f/stop: 9 iso: 100

After looking at this shot, I don't really like it but it was my shot of the day.

exposure: 1/100 f/stop: 2.8 iso: 100

A shot of my sister attempting a pose that I would normally do. This was taken in the studio with wireless flash. I feel its time I should get a new backdrop.

exposure: 1/13sec f/stop: 4.5 iso: 400

I have never seen a hare with white and pink fur. It was massive as well. The people at the store said there was no harm done to this hare.

exposure: 1/10sec f/stop: iso: 1600

Here we have my annual camera gear photo. Click here to see last years photo of my gear. As you can see, I've bought a lot of things in the past year and sold a couple of my lenses. The cokin filters and the intervalometer have been great tools with the photos that I have taken.

exposure: 1/30sec f/stop: 3.5 iso: 800

It was my mother's birthday today and the family ate out at a Chinese restaurant in Marrickville. We always eat at this place. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great and the service is always friendly. I would recommend this place but I forgot the name of it.

exposure: 1/160sec f/stop: 5.6 iso: 200

I was in the lounge room and saw my dad smoking a cigarette outside in the sun. I thought it was a good chance to take a photo of him pondering.

exposure: 1/15sec f/stop: 3.5 iso: 400

I was at the food courts in Bondi Junction today with my sister. She just bought a new laptop to take on her trip to the UK. By the way, its a VAIO E series laptop in pink.

exposure: 1/80sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 800

I was at the World Press Photographer's Association exhibition at State Library. It was a great show of professional photographer's works ranging from fashion, landscapes, moments in history and just about everything. I was also watching a video of photographers from the Sun-Herald newspaper, talking about what photography means to them and their style of taking the perfect photograph. It was a great event where I had the chance to talk to a few people in the industry.

exposure: 1/8sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 400

During this night, I was working on one of my stop motion videos and whilst I was doing that, I took this shot of the walkway at Cockle Bay. Its pretty much a different perspective to what people usually see or what I usually see when in this area.

exposure: 13secs f/stop: 18 iso: 100

I was amazed at the lack of camera shake in this shot since I didn't have my tripod with me. I was actually just leaning the camera on a hand railing with the strap as the shock absorber from me holding onto it. Not bad.

exposure: 1/8sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 200

Marione and myself were at Carriage Works at Redfern today. There was a Winter festival event being held here. Although this doesn't show much of the event, I like the colors and lighting of the shot.

exposure: 1/6sec f/stop: 4 iso: 100

I'm assuming all those milk crates were 'stolen'. Nonetheless this looks pretty cool.

exposure: 1/10sec f/stop: 5 iso: 800

I was at a little performance this day and this guy was brilliant! A great performer and a talented guitarist.

 exposure: 1/5sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 400

Introducing my new lens to add to my lineup. Its a Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Macro lens. This lens is amazing and very sharp! I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a macro lens. Bought from eBay and got it for a good price.

exposure: 484sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 100

I was out with Ben tonight taking photos around North Sydney and this is one of the shots that I got. I tried to shoot light trails, however its a bit hard with the limitations of the sensor on my camera. The purple corners at the top of my photo are from sensor heat which occurs often on CCD sensors from long exposures. It would have been better if I took a heap of 30sec exposures and stacked them in photoshop. Just something to remember for next time =)

exposure: 1sec f/stop:7.1 iso: 100

This is flavor you can really see. I used my macro lens for this on a pizza shape. After looking at it really closely, I saw some crystal looking parts on it. I don't think I'll ever eat shapes again.

 exposure: 1/30sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 3200

A shot of my dads eyelashes while he was asleep. Even though my camera is at its highest ISO, the image noise doesn't seem apparent compared with my other photos at ISO 3200.

exposure: 1/60sec f/stop: 6.3 iso: 100

This is a quick snapshot of myself and my sister in our costumes before her going away party. My sister is supposed to be Marie Antionette and I am an Italian chef (had more add-ons to my outfit a bit later). The theme was Europe, since my sister was going to London to work for a couple of years.

 exposure: 1/800sec exposure: 5.6 iso: 200

My sister was driving across the Harbour Bridge today on our way to Chatswood to pick up her new glasses. I took this shot with my camera sticking out of the window and tilted the LCD to get this symmetrical shot of the bridge.

exposure: 1/30sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 400

I was cooking some food with Marione today and we put these baby tomatoes in the oven and they looked pretty cool with the light so I took a snap shot of these.

exposure: 1/4000sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 100

Went on a road trip today with the BDC to Stockton Beach and as the clouds were rolling in, I took this shot. It was a great day with a lot of driving and a lot of random moments and also the day that I cracked the back of my DSLR =(

exposure: 1/60sec f/stop 2.8 iso: 400

What can I say? These bikes are suspended in the air and it looks cool!

exposure: 1/15sec f/stop: 3.5 iso: 200

Different day, different bridge. This shot was taken on the way to Star City for a buffet dinner. Not too sure what this bridge is called but I like the motion in this shot.

exposure: 1/60sec f/stop: 6.3 iso: 200

This is a shot of one of my last family photos for a while. Its sad that our family won't be together in the same house but like many families, there is a time when the children will eventually move out and venture out into the world. Proud of my sister.

exposure: 1/8sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 400

To be honest, I was feeling a bit upset about my sister's departure the previous day. A whole lot of unexpected feelings rushed out and it was a bit uncontrollable. Marione came to help cheer me up and took me out to this great restaurant on George Street. It was something new and the service and the food was great. We ordered drinks that correlate with our star signs which were Aquarius (left) and Virgo (right) and they didn't taste bad either. Thank you Marione =)

    exposure: 1/400 f/stop: 2.8 iso: 800

Did a drive by shot of these fire fighters doing something to this car. Not sure what it was but it was holding up a lot of traffic.

exposure: 1sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 800

It was a foggy night this night and I stopped by a bridge and took this shot of the railway tracks and the fog. Its not the best shot considering I didn't have my tripod on me but it did well enough so it wasn't too blurred. Love my in-body stabilization.

exposure: 1/15sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 400

Went to my new favorite place to eat, Mizuya. Thank you Marione for introducing me to this place. Its a great hangout and on this particular hangout I ordered Karage chicken with some rice. Thats really all I need to eat.

exposure: 1/13sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 800

I love this photo. Its a shot of a mushroom that came with my combination chow mein that I ordered from the Chinese shot. As I was going to eat, I noticed that this mushroom was smiling at me, as like it was excited to be apart of my meal lol.

exposure: 1/200sec f/stop: 4.5 iso: 100

I was at the Botannical Gardens today and this has to be one of my favorite shots. Using the macro lens opens up a whole new world of what people don't usually notice.

exposure: 1/30sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 200

I love this shot of Domo-Kun, especially the lighting. This is from my sister on her stop off at Tokyo? I forgot where she went but nonetheless, I thank her for delivering this gift with a few little other gifts. Shot was taken with my desk lamp proving you don't need fancy expensive lights for different lighting shots.

  exposure: 2sec f/stop: 11 iso: 200

I was in the backseat of the car and took a shot of the car behind me, who happened to be my cousin. Although you can't see her face, the light streams look awesome.

exposure: 1/2500sec f/stop: 2.8 iso: 100

It was the City 2 Surf today and what a day it was. Over 80 000 people took part in the race, making it the largest fun run in the world. Its great to be a part of something like this. I brought my DSLR along with me this day and though it slowed me down by about 15mins than my personal best, I like the shots  that I took with it. Well worth it but I won't be doing it again.

exposure: 1/80sec f/stop: 16 iso: 100

I've been eating a lot of almond nuts lately. So addictive when they're right next to you waiting to be eaten. I thought I would take a shot of these as its a part of my everyday snacking meals.
